Public River Trips
Join the Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse for a "Public River Trip" to paddle on the Hudson River and take in amazing views of the New York City skyline.
Trips are typically 1-2 hours long and can be a real work out. No prior paddling experience is required. However, trip leaders will run a short paddle test before leaving the protected cove to ensure all participants are comfortable with their watercraft and will enjoy their time on the river.
Due to the popularity of this program, lotteries are sometimes held. If a lottery is conducted and your name is not selected, we hope you will come back for another trip. Due to the nature of being a small, volunteer-run organization, we do not have the capacity to take advance reservations.
All participants must know how to swim and be at least 18 years of age.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled trip time.
Come prepared with water, sunscreen and a hat or sunglasses.
Quick-drying clothing is recommended.
Trips may be canceled or changed due to weather and river conditions.
The direction and destination of a trip depends on the time, tides and weather conditions that day.
