Our kayaking trips are for the general public and our volunteers. The trips are usually 2-3 hours long and can be a real work out. Lunch trips can take 4 hours or so. Therefore, we run a short paddle test before we leave just to make sure everyone will be able to handle the trip. All participants must be at least 18 on the river trips. You must know how to swim. No real kayaking experience is necessary. Take sunscreen, water, a hat and wear clothes that dry quickly. No reservations in advance.
Please show up 15 minutes before the trip begins at the Maxwell Place Boathouse. We take 15-20 people per trip and because of their popularity we have a lottery. If your name is not selected, you can try again on another trip date.
