NYC premiere of "Eastern Horizons" at Downtown Boathouse
The Downtown Boathouse and the Hudson River Paddlers Guild invite you to the New York City premiere of Eastern Horizons – an award-winning sea kayaking adventure film. Meet filmmaker Bryan Smith and New York paddling community’s own Marcus Demuth, who will make a presentation on his record-setting first kayak circumnavigation of the Falkland Islands.
Tuesday, April 7th 2009, 7:30 PM
Pier 96 Boathouse, 56th Street at the Hudson River
Free Admission
Eastern Horizons blends the history and culture of the sea with world class sea kayakers. From the rich marshes in North Carolina to the icebergs in Newfoundland and from the urban landscape of New York City to the remote fishing villages of the Magdalene Islands; the film features a major segment shot right here in New York City with local paddlers. Join them at the Downtown Boathouse to enjoy the film and presentations, and socialize with many fellow Metro Area paddlers!
