Videos from July 30th and Info on This Weekend

This Sunday, August 14th, from 12PM -4PM, we'll be having our next FREE KAYAKING DAY in Frank Sinatra Park.  Its going to be in the 90's, so if you're not at the beach, the place you should be is here.

So what's involved?

First, volunteers from the Downtown Boathouse take kayaks over to HoboCoBo.  Sometimes we paddle over, but lately, the currents have been too strong, so we got help from Jim and Tim.

Then, we pitch a tent.  We're getting better and better at our tent construction.  Eventually, we hope to build a radio out of coconuts to signal for help to get us off the island.  Oh, wait... that's a TV show... nevermind.

When you show up, we make you sign a waiver, get you life jackets, put you in a kayak, and then tell you our safety boundries, as shown here:

When you come back, you are smiling, like these people.  If you're not smiling, we hit you on the head with your own paddle.  By now, everyone knows to smile.
